Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) posted this information pertaining to the CenturyLink outages.
The Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) is sharing the following as an informational advisory to residents of Weld County. The CenturyLink outage issues experienced by much of the country yesterday are continuing today, and the WCRCC has been informed that these issues are impacting other communication/internet carriers. The result of this is that there continues to be the possibility of poor telephone-line quality and the potential for dropped calls on both day-to-day lines and possibly 911 lines.
The WCRCC has experienced a few dropped 911 calls this morning but was able to reach those parties on call-backs.
If you are experiencing dropped calls to dispatch, please know that dispatchers will attempt a call back but you should also call the 911 line again or call the 10-digit number to the dispatch center at 970-350-9600 or send a text message to 911.
This issue has been brought forward to the Public Utilities Commission by the WCRCC Director and is an issue across the state and the country.
CenturyLink continues to work on a resolution to the problem.
